“I need you to tell me it’s a good fight.” We stood outside discussing the challenges of walking our journey of faith, particularly in the realm of parenting. We all nodded in agreement. She looked at her friend directly in the eyes and said, “No. I NEED you to tell me that this is a GOOD fight.” Our friend stared deep in response, locked eyes with her and said, “Oh, it is a GOOD fight. Now I need you to tell me that.” Oh, how we need that reminder. When our hearts are discouraged, we need someone to look us in the eyes and remind us of the great hope in Christ, that it is a fight worth fighting. A fight for hope, for beauty, for freedom.
