So I'm a few days late here but I've been inspired to share a few highlights from our year, thanks to all of the other fabulous bloggers out there (plus JD always kindly encourages it - haha)!
The year 2015 has been filled with growth. Growth in family, growth in creativity, growth in marriage, growth in experiences while traveling, growth in Christ. Between friends, new endeavors, babies and about six months of Aloha / Hawaii, how could we even ask for more?
1. Ringing in the New Year at the McDaniel's house // 2. First year of the Dwell Richly scripture memory resource // 3. First year for the Agenda // 4. Leah's bridal shower // 5. 'Volunteering' at the KB concert for the Core Conference // 6. Huntsville Havoc Hockey game and jersey night (best jerseys yet!) with Seth + Rebecca // 7. Lots of fireplace sitting during the chilly winter // 8. My 27th birthday: dinner at Casa Blanca with a few of our favorite friends // 9. JD turned THIRTY! Dinner at Texas de Brazil with a few friends then a surprise party at our house with lots of our friends and neighbors // 10., 11. + 12. SNOW in Huntsville: hours of fun, snow ice cream and hot cocoa with our neighbors // 13. Leah + Will's wedding // 14. Annual Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt // 15. Inflatable 5K with Matt + Julie // 16. Mentorship session with Erin // 17. Won first Minted challenge (huge goal for 2015 accomplished) // 18. Designed my first surface pattern and fell in love with the new skills I learned // 19. Our little nephew, Levi, is born // 20. + 21. MAE Concert (another life dream accomplished) // 22. Jitney's printables are featured on The Planner Society (the founder, Christy Tomlinson, is one of my all-time favorite artists - celebrations all-around) // 23. Celebrated our 5-year anniversary: the 5-year plan came to end and a 'growing family' came into view // 24. Learned about the art medium, gouache, and haven't turned back // 25. Celebrated a weekend with mom + dad // 26. Participated in the handlettering challenge from Encourage Huntsville // 27. Katy Jo is pregnant and having a GIRL // 28. Experienced our first helicopter tour as we flew over the exhilarating island of Kauai - definitely counts in the top 5 coolest things we've ever done // 29. Explored Kauai for the first time // 30. Shannon spent a super fun weekend with us in Huntsville // 31. Taught an art class where the art would be hung up in the Kids' Closet in Huntsville // 32. Ella Reese's Baby Shower // 33. Bellegant Styled Shoot - photo was taken four days after we found out we were expecting // 34. Kayaking in Huntsville with Will + Erin // 35. Released our second Agenda // 36. We're having a baby! // 37. Seth + Rebecca's wedding // 38. Adventures at Glass Beach in Kauai // 39. Started a 50 Day Challenge for illustrations inspired by each state in America + finalized a few prints for Jitney's and posted them in the shop // 40. Family spent the weekend with us for an early Thanksgiving since we'd be back in Hawaii during Thanksgiving - Levi is growing so big // 41. Friendsgiving with the McDaniels and Hardins // 42. Ella Reese is born the day we leave for Kauai // 43. We're having a girl and naming her Mia Kai! - due April 11, 2016 // 44. After 15 trips to Hawaii, we saw our first Hawaiian monk seal - only 1,100 in the world // 45. Merit is born // 46. Spent Christmas with family and finally got to meet Tag + Belle (our puppy nephew and niece) // 47. Started working on the nursery // 48. Said farewell to the Corvette and 2015
